  • What is the Cancellation & Deposit Policy?

    At the time of booking, a 25% non-refundable deposit and mandatory damage waiver ($49-89) are due. Final payment is due 30 days prior to arrival. Cancellations made outside of 30 days from arrival forfeit the initial deposit, cancellations inside 30 days are in full penalty. We offer travel insurance and travel insurance options that include a cancel for any reason clause. We highly suggest you check these options out here.

  • Do I need to bring my own sheets and towels?

    No, each of our rentals has linens and towels provided as well as starter supplies for things such as shampoo, soap, tissues, toilet paper and paper towels, trash bags, dish detergent and dish soap, and if the rental includes a washer & dryer there will be laundry detergent and dryer sheets. Plus during ski season we offer a welcome gift that includes starter coffee and some local/regional treats.

  • Where do I check in?

    About 3-5 days prior to arrival you will receive an email with check-in instructions for the particular home you have rented. If you have questions or need information prior to that please reach out to us for more information. Most of our rentals include smartlocks with codes to check in, some properties offer onsite check-in at a front desk.

  • What time is check-in?

    Check-in time is no earlier than 4:00 PM on arrival date. This time may be delayed should unforeseen circumstances arise, we will do our best to communicate should anything come up.

  • What time is check-out?

    Check-out time is NO LATER than 10:00 AM on the departure date.

  • Can I check in early or check-out late?

    Please reach out to us to inquire about the possibility of early check-in or late check-out. We will do our best to accommodate requests, but this is never guaranteed and when available you may incur an early check-in charge depending on the situation. We appreciate your understanding. It takes time to thoroughly clean, stock and inspect our vacation rentals to our high cleanliness standards. We would rather take the extra time to make sure the vacation rental is pleasant for your arrival.

  • How do I get around in Steamboat?

    Some properties provide free winter shuttle service, while some do not. Please check the details on the home you have rented to see what shuttle options are available. There is a free city bus operated year-round as well as some availability on Uber/Lyft. Some of the local airport shuttle companies have also started offering point to point service when they can.

  • Is there a shuttle or taxis from the Hayden airport?

    We highly recommend booking a shuttle ahead of time for your transportation from/to the Hayden airport. Uber/Lyft is not readily available at our rural airport. Check out our Trusted Vendors Pagefor recommendations.

  • What if I want to bring additional vehicles?

    Check your rental property details for parking information. There is limited parking at most properties and unfortunately additional overnight parking in Steamboat, in the winter especially, is not available due to restrictions put in place to allow for snow removal. If you have more cars than your rental allows for, you are responsible for finding alternate parking. We are not responsible for any towing or fines incurred to you for not following proper parking procedures. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation. We do not know of any overnight parking, paid or otherwise, during winter season.

  • Can I ship my gear or luggage ahead of time?

    Yes, but please contact us for the best address to ship to as delivery services are a bit complicated in our remote mountain town.

  • Where can we rent skis?

    We recommend renting with our partner Christy Sports with a few locations to choose from around town, including their flagship store in Gondola Square, or their Door2Door Delivery Service. Visit this link to receive a discount for being a Grand Adventure Co guest.

  • What else is there to do in Steamboat?

  • Do you provide baby gear?

    Some of our rentals have packnplays stocked as a part of the furnishings the owner offers with the rental. We do have a few extra packnplays that we can provide when available but they are limited. Anything else, we suggest renting from Baby's Away in Steamboat.

  • What are the benefits of booking directly with Grand Adventure Co?

    When you book direct, as opposed to booking via a third party channel such as Vrbo or Airbnb, you always save money. Most of these channels charge guests an additional service fee. Also, many times we offer direct booking promotions and/or return guest discounts that are not offered on other sites. When you are searching for a property on our site, you will see a comparison widget that shows how much totals are for the same property on the same dates when booking via Vrbo or Airbnb. But no matter how you book, we will take care of you once you are here :)

  • Can I bring my pet?

    Most of our properties are not pet friendly due to HOA rules and we have no ability to be flexible. The ones that do allow dogs will be noted as pet friendly and there will be additional rules regarding your pet staying with you. Check out our pet friendly rentals here. If you have an ADA service dog, please reach out at the time of booking.

  • Do you offer travel insurance?
