Rabbi Kolby Morris-Dahary invites travelers and residents of all religious persuasions to celebrate and as you sing along, devour delicious treats that include jelly donuts (yum!) and view the ritual lighting of the menorah on this wonderful winter’s day, the joy will be evident in your heart and on the faces of everyone celebrating with you!
Hit the Slopes
It is late December, the mountains are covered in a thick blanket of the fluffy white stuff, and if there is any better way to celebrate a winter’s day, we dare you to try and find it! Wake up early and head to the mountain to be in time for the 8:15 opening, season pass holders can purchase a First Tracks add-on, allowing them to be on the slopes at 8 AM and experience the new snow and freshly groomed trails, something that may interest those who live close enough to return frequently. Making resolutions is popular at New Year’s and more likely than not one of yours is to exercise more, and we seriously think you can’t get any better exercise; the fun you have when schussing down the slopes ensures it won’t feel like you are exercising at all!

Lit only by the lights on the Snow Cats and with the torches held in each instructors hand, their skilled moves on the slopes will take on new levels of wonder when viewed by torchlight. The procession ends with a spectacular fireworks display lighting up the night sky as it also lights up your heart and because this event takes place earlier in the evening, you still have an entire night in which to find new ways to kick 2024 to the door.
