Normally, when we get to this part of the story, we take a few minutes to describe all the fun adventures you can have in Steamboat, but today we feel our vacation homes deserve your full attention. You already know about the ski resort, about the shops you can shop in, the rivers you can fish in, and the hikes you may take, but our vacation homes are large and offer so much to explore, it will take every word we have to paint a picture for you and your family.

So let’s take a walk to the front door, standing outside for just a moment (it will be too cold in the winter to do otherwise anyway) to reflect on all that you feel right now. A little irritable from playing referee and a lot tired from your long day of travel, but when that door opens, all the negative will dissipate and your idyllic family vacation will begin!

Spacious and Cozy at the Same Time

Large spaces can often seem sterile and impersonal, but our mountain vacation homes manage to combine spacious with cozy and you will feel the difference within seconds of your first steps inside. Filled with warmth and light, floor-to-ceiling windows frame views of the mountain and the countryside to perfection. Make your way to the living room and let your eyes fall where they may. Maybe the comfy looking sofa placed so as to enjoy the warmth of the fireplace and views of the state of the art television and the landscape that lies just beyond the pristine panes of glass will capture your attention first.

Or maybe your eyes will land on that oversized chair offering a warm and colorful throw tossed against its back and a good strong light so that you can sit and read as the light dims and the night sky grows dark. Dining rooms will always be located just steps away from the kitchen, offering the perfect spot to eat, play games, or tell dad jokes and because options are good, our summer visitors may want to take the meal outside to the large deck that covers expanse of the back of the house. Offering patio tables and chairs, cushioned sectionals, and barbecue grills, you can also choose to prepare your meal out here, giving the cook a little break after a long day of vacation fun.

As we previously stated, we don’t believe in less is more and our vacation homes offer all the perfect examples. Hot tubs for soaking under the stars, firepits for telling ghost stories around, and fireplaces in primary suites, deep and jetted tubs in ensuite baths, and private balconies for tired parents to relax on as they watch the sun set behind the mountains.

Laundry rooms allow guests to pack light and save room for souvenirs in their luggage, storage rooms for skis and boots help keep the rest of the home uncluttered and dry, and sometimes we even manage to sneak in a game table or two, placing them where you least expect it! Every detail is the most important detail when it comes to offering our guests a comfortable and exciting vacation experience.
